I never thought I'd actually hear this from Ms Fry: "*nods* you've done really well today, it was good *nods more*"
Maybe breaking down in school and having a chat with Ms Fry wasn't so bad after all, made me feel better after I heard her say that to me on Saturday when I stood out when they started the jumping section (my ankle) and Ms Fry sat beside me, watching the rest. I was...apalled, actually, like..speechless.
But I did felt like I tried really hard on Saturday, with all the teacher's notes and Ms Fry's corrections running through my head the whole time in barre, and all the feet articulation and stuff, and I definitely sweated twice as much as I usually do during a Saturday class. I actually felt that I worked hard.
That's why my muscles are pretty sore these few days as well, I did my best in turning out from the hip and not from the knee (doing that kills) and everything I did I tried to be as crossed or as behind me as possible.
Ignore me if you don't understand =P I'm sorry~
So I felt pretty good on Saturday, she was happy with me, then I'm happy. Sadly I had to stand out during variations as well cos I can't do pointework yet and variations usually involves a lot of jumpy steps. And Ms Fry decided to teach us the four Cygnets variation, one of my favourites. Sadly I couldn't do everything full out and I did try once but I rolled and hurt my ankle a bit and had to stop.
I'm looking pretty forward to seeing what's gonna happen tomorrow cos I bet its gonna be chaos. We're starting Don Q rehearsals again for the performance in Williamstown and people have to replace missing and injured people, it's gonna be the highlight of my day, I'll probably get yelled at as well if my role was switched from being an urchin to a peasant. I'd love to wear the peasant costume BUT.. I can't do the damn sequidilla, I still can't. It's not the fact that I'm injured, I just can't do the steps cleanly.
We'll see what happens in a few hours =D
